Guided Group Retreats

During each year a number of six-day guided retreats are offered on various themes with a maximum of seven participants. These retreats are fully catered and usually begin on the evening of the first day and conclude on the morning of the last day as stated in the calendar. Meditation, input and spiritual direction are available during these retreats.

Workshops & Reflection Days

The Archer Mountain Community calendar advertises workshops and reflection days from time to time. Morning and afternoon tea are provided as part of these days. Lunch is BYO.

Private Retreats

Private retreats for individuals (both directed and non-directed) are available upon request at most times throughout the year depending on the availability of spiritual directors and space. These retreats can range from one to six days as desired by the retreatant and self-catering is encouraged.

Spiritual Companioning

Spiritual companioning is a form of open, sharing and reflection with a trained spiritual director, who helps you to delve into the deeper meaning of your journey, to own your shadow and grow to be who you are. Spiritual Companioing is provided by Tony Hempenstall CFC.

Daily Meditation

Twice a day, morning and evening, a half-hour meditation session is held in the Thomas Berry Sanctuary and is lead by a member of the home community. All are welcome, no cost.

Care of the Earth

Opportunities for working in the earth and caring for the land of Archer Mountain are available if desired and encouraged when spending retreat time at Archer Mountain.

Archer Mountain Community Agape Gatherings

Agape is the gathering of the wider earth community of the Archer to share story, wisdom, walk the land, meditate and celebrate life’s joys and sorrows and the changes in season through creative rituals.  All are welcome to be part of this communal experience on the second Sunday of each month beginning with morning tea at 10am and concluding with a shared lunch at 12.30pm.
